Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before your first lesson

From what age can children start swimming lessons?
Neptune accepts children from age 4. At this age, children are ready for a safe, playful introduction to the water in small groups or individual sessions with a dedicated coach.
Which pools in Tallinn does Neptune train at?
Lessons take place at four pools across Tallinn: MOOW Tallinn in Haabersti, Sõle Spordikeskus in Põhja-Tallinn, Elamus Spa in Mustamäe, and Suur-Pae Lasteaed in Lasnamäe. The specific pool is confirmed when you book.
What languages do your coaches speak?
Both coaches — Alisa Solomina and Nikita Dmitriev — speak Russian, Ukrainian, and English. Lessons can be conducted in any of these languages.
What is the difference between individual and group lessons?
Individual lessons are one-to-one sessions focused entirely on your technique, pace, and goals — the coach's full attention is on you throughout. Group classes take place in small groups of up to 4–5 swimmers, offering a more social and motivating atmosphere at a more accessible price per session.
Do I need to know how to swim to join?
No. Neptune offers a dedicated beginner programme for both children and adults who have never swum before or are anxious around water. All abilities are welcome — the coaches are experienced in working with water-fearful students.
What should I bring to the first lesson?
Bring a swimsuit, swim cap, goggles, and a towel. The coach will confirm any pool-specific requirements when you book. You do not need to bring any training equipment for your first session.
How long is a swimming lesson?
A standard lesson is 45 minutes. Lessons for younger children (ages 4–6) are 30 minutes. The coach can discuss the best format for your age group and goals when you get in touch.
How do I book a swimming lesson at Neptune?
Send a message via Telegram, WhatsApp, Instagram, or use the contact form on this page. The coach replies within 24 hours to confirm a time and pool that works for you. All bookings are confirmed directly with the coach.
